A new, fully immersive pyramid installation called PY1 is making its way to the Old Port this summer for its World Premiere – and you’re invited! Located at the iconic Clock Tower Pier in the Old Port, you can attend not one, but SEVEN, different multisensory "magical worlds" throughout the summer.\nFrom June 1 until September 29, these uniquely themed PY1 Nights will be on rotation every Friday and Saturday evening all season long, so you’ll have plenty of chances to attend each event at least once!\nSeventy different local artists are scheduled to showcase their talents under the Pyramid, with everything from electronic music to visual projection performances promising to whisk you away to another world. If you’re into costume parties, this is definitely right up your alley, as every event has its own particular theme with its own encouraged, super fun dress code!\nPY1\nOh, and have we mentioned that PY1 Nights is a concept by Guy Laliberté and his new company Lune Rouge Entertainment's creative genius? In case you weren’t already convinced, now you know these are definitely a string of parties you can't afford to miss!\n1. Eye Wonder\nPY1\nKicking the PY1 Nights season off on June 1, the Eye Wonder experience will take you on a journey through space and time. Get ready to witness the birth of the universe with musical talent Laurence Matte on the scene and an appearance from Guy Laliberté.\n2. Underworld\nPY1\nDive headfirst into Underworld’s post-apocalyptic party on June 6, with performances by The Neighbors, Head Nodders, and Bedouin. Inspired by Mad Max and steampunk, your ticket to the Underworld will get you in to see artists like Adam Husa. Can you handle the fury?\n3. Candy World\nPY1\nTake a nostalgic leap back into your childhood for a night at Candy World, whose first PY1 Nights event takes place June 8. An immersive experience filled to the brim with candy and all things sweet, deck yourself out in neon colors and get ready for a night you won’t forget! Candy World artists include Dexter Crowe, BLOND:ISH, Hoopalai, and Clarian, among others. Be sure to check the website to see which artists perform which night.\n4. Sci-Matic\nPY1\nPut your thinking cap on and get ready for Sci-Matic, where you’ll be immersed in an enigmatic world of scientific codes and sound vibrations. Sci-Matic premieres at PY1 Nights on June 21, with artists Mike Larry, Phuture Positive, and others scheduled to perform throughout the season’s rotations.\n5. Astral Plane\nPY1\nIf you’ve ever been curious to know what it’d be like to visit a cosmic shaman, now’s your chance. Astral Plane is meant to mimic an initiation ritual into a spiritual journey, introducing you to shamanistic elements that may or may not change your perception of life itself. The first Astral Plane party happens on June 14, featuring artists Hicky & Kalo / Tommy La Croix.\n6. POP\nPY1\nGraffiti and cartoons aren’t just for brick walls and comic books: the POP party series takes the notions of 2D graffiti and cartoons and brings them to life! From manga to cartoon characters, get ready to immerse yourself in an illustrated wonderland at POP, starting June 15.\n7. Taboo\nPY1\nGet ready to indulge your senses and explore human desires in all forms at Taboo. The first Taboo event takes place June 22, featuring artists Mike Haddad, Julian Prince, and Driss Skali.\nThe PY1 Nights are yours to explore from June 1 until the end of September in the Old Port, with tickets now on sale for $28 + tax.
