This College Program In Montreal Helps Creatives Start Their Own Venture
Calling all aspiring entrepreneurs!
Are you an artist, a designer, a maker, a mover or a shaker? You've dreamed about it, you've talked about it endlessly, and now you're finally ready to take the plunge. You're going to start your own venture in the creative and cultural industries. Of course, it's super exciting, but where do you start?
Running a successful venture is a challenging, yet highly rewarding, goal. While anyone can start a company, few can take it through its early stages and manage it as a startup. Even the smartest and most fearless entrepreneurs need to sharpen their skills and gain the knowledge necessary to make their company flourish. The right program will set you on the path to success.
Until now, lots of courses have focused on existing businesses rather than on startups, and many conventional business programs are not well suited for entrepreneurs in the early stages of venture creation. That's where the Venture Creation in the Creative and Cultural Industries program at Montreal's Dawson College comes in.
Are you interested in developing an entrepreneurial project in one or several of these creative or cultural sectors? Advertising, architecture, crafts, culinary arts, design (graphics, interior, and industrial), film, photography, videography, interactive leisure software, music, performing arts, publishing, television, radio, or the visual arts. Take a look at admission requirements here.
This AEC program takes aspiring entrepreneurs through the early stages of building a venture in the creative and cultural industries. Students will even define their company's vision, develop a business model, plus search for and create a startup team.
Students will seek to develop a customer base, leverage strategic partnerships, mobilize resources, learn how to secure financing to launch a commercial or social venture, and utilize startup tools and technology. Talk about covering all your bases!
Students in the Venture Creation in the Creative and Cultural Industries AEC program will work closely with entrepreneurs in related industries through workshops, presentations, and lectures. Not to mention, you'll even have the chance to get out of the classroom and talk to end-users, suppliers, and partners.
There's never been a better time to pursue your dream of finally becoming an entrepreneur. So, don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to learn and grow in a creative, supportive environment!
