Montreal Gets An All-New Oyster & Caesar Bar In Rosemont
Le North End is changing the city's oyster game.
Who said trendy bars only lay in the downtown/ plateau area? Rosemont La Petite Patrie has slowly but surely grown to become a boozy quarter with bars such as Labarake, Nacho Libre, Le Jockey and Le Saint-Edouard. That's not all though, yesterday, Le North End opened it's doors on the corner of De La Roche and Rosemont Boulevard, and it could just become your new favorite oyster & cocktail spot.
Situated in a friendly little neighborhood, Le North End screams Montrealais culture and dips into a refreshing and hip New York vibe. Master decorator Stéphanie Bélanger is the eyes behind the bar's marine inspired decor.
Whether you want to impress a first date or some friends from out of town, North End bar is definitely the place to take your company. Their specialty includes the aphrodisiac plate which is served with a dozen oysters, red and white mignonette, special house sauce and horseradish.
Another menu- must try includes the Duck Club Sandwich. Shredded duck and BACON served on homemade focaccia bread with pickles, mayo, cucumbers and cheese- served with a side of Yucca chips!
Behind the bar at Le North End stands Pierre Gadouas recent winner of the best mixologist award in Montreal at the Made With Love competition. Winning best cocktail in 2013, the Grande Roue is a must try. It's made with Bombay, pomgrenade juice, cucumber purée, jalapeño juice and dill syrup. The drink is even served with homemade jalapeño cotton candy!
Le North End goes beyond a trendy corner spot in a cozy neighborhood. Their creative menu of lobster, duck and oysters will leave your mouth watering as your liver craves more of their delicious Bloody Caesars and modern cocktails.
Le North End is located on 5800 de la Roche corner Rosemont Boulevard and is open from 4pm-3am Monday's through Saturday's and at 6pm-3am on Sunday's (when $1 oysters are available!).
