If you've ever considered learning some new moves to impress that certain someone, or your from a small town and the elders won't let you dance, here's your chance to get all footloose at the end of the month.\nWestie Passion specializes in West Coast Swing and is the first school of its kind in Montreal, with a twist. Where as most dance schools have only one location (not always very convenient), Westie Passion brings the dance to you by renting out studio spaces in different parts of town. Which means you can learn this highly versatile and engaging form of swing dance wherever you want.\nLearning to dance can seem a bit intimidating, but what's cool about Westie Passion is its laid-back community and passionate teachers who help you every step of the way. Borrowing from traditional swing dance, basic moves are easy to learn and can be applied to almost any genre of music. From love pop, to country, to R&B, or rock and roll, west coast swing is super versatile and works with any type of music.\nWestie passion offers Level 1, 2 and 3 group classes, private lessons, and Friday night socials offer an opportunity to mingle and swing the night away. There's also specialty workshop weekends where professional dance champions from all over the world are brought in to teach classes and perform a show.\nThe next level 1 session starts March 31 at Espaces Des Arts and the first class is completely free, allowing you to get a taste of what's to come in the session before signing up for the class. So if your boyfriend/girlfriend has been bugging you to take dance classes with them for like, forever, this is your chance to make good. Alternatively, if you are single, a free dance class might just get you into the swing of things (pun!).\nCheck out the Westie Passion website or the Facebook Page for more information.
