Who even invented these?
Every day, week, and month of the year presents another reason to celebrate some occasion or another. And as is so happens, August is the best month to indulge in pleasures like being happy, relaxing, walking around with or without underwear or having a mind blowing orgasm.

1. Happiness Happens Month (August 1-31)
Don't you just love a good challenge? The Secret Society of Happy People (SOHP) presents the Happiness Happens Month Challenge. SOHP started celebrating with 'Admit You’re Happy Day' on August 8, 1999 but after some prompting by the members, it became a month-long event with a new challenge to complete each day, that will make you or someone else happy. National Simplify Your Life Week is the perfect opportunity to reflect on what's holding you back or down and take action to move forward.

If you're going to be in New York City, feel free to join in on the Underwear Day festivities on August 5. This holiday was established August 8, 2008 in Esperantina, Brazil where the Councillor of the people decided to dedicate the day to the female orgasm as compensation for the "sexual debt" he owed his own wife. Thanks to one man's thoughtful gesture for his wife, this occasion is also celebrated in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Norway.
6. National Relaxation Day (August 15)
This year, on August 15, I want you to sit back, unwind, let go, escape or do whatever it is that you do to de-stress for National Relaxation Day. This holiday started in Britain as National Slacker Day. Most might defend themselves against being called a slacker, but on August 15, feel free to wear your 'slacker badge' loud and proud. Happy Relaxing!
7. Go Topless Day (August 23)
Towards the end of the month, it might still be warm enough to lock away your shirts and celebrate Go Topless Day on August 23. This occasion is celebrated on the Sunday before Women's Equality Day on August 26, which marks the date 95 years ago, that women were allowed to vote. For Go Topless Day, women around the world are invited to stand up for women's rights and go topless; but would you really do it?
8. Kiss and Make Up Day (August 25)
If you're dating or married, you already know you should not go to sleep while you're angry, but if you've been in disagreement for some time and you want to set aside a special day to resolve your differences and continue in your love, then August 25 is the perfect date for you to 'Kiss and Make Up'. Even if you're single and have an issue with a friend, family member or coworker, don't be afraid to make the first move on August 25 to bring peace to your relationship.
