Friday morning may be rough (we're all a little "dehydrated") but we're nearly home-free; the weekend is close at hand. Getting through the whole day until work/school is out this afternoon is easier said than done, so lets make it a tad bit easier with some free coffee.

The Montreal Gazette, in their ongoing campaign to promote their smartphone app, will be giving out free coffee from 9am to 5pm in front of Roddick Gates (map), the main entrance to McGill University on Sherbrooke street. One small catch: you will need to download the Gazette's smartphone app, a relatively small price to pay for some gratis java during what is sure to be a rough Friday morning...and afternoon.

We caught wind of the Gazette's free coffee pop-up this morning after the newspaper tweeted out the following:

The Gaz was offering the same free caffeine fix yesterday, though we're unsure if the coffee stand will last past today. So if you're a McGill student or just happen to be downtown, start your day off right, with a lot of coffee at zero charge.
