The roaring 20s were a time of major expansion for Montreal, as the city started to become the modern metropolis it would grow into. Thanks to the Archives de Montreal, we have a unique bird's-eye-view of Montreal during this transitional period via the aerial-MTL photos below.

Photographed in the sky by Fairchild Serial Surveys Co. between 1925 and 1935, these images will take you soaring above an old-school Montreal that is recognizable, but not quite as urbanized as we're used to. Check 'em below.
