First, it's the highest class of single-seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. And second, formula one cars are the fastest road course racing cars in the world.\nWhile Europe is the sport's traditional base, the championship is truly global, with 11 of the 21 races in the 2018 season taking place outside Europe.\nThe fact that Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile has chosen Montreal to be the home of this prestigious race is a true testament to the beauty and unique cultural appeal of our city.\nOur PM Justing Trudeau himself loves to get into the F1 vibe.
