Oh summer, how I long for you. I miss tam tams, ice cream and Osheaga. But even more than those, I miss looking and feeling bomb. I’m tired of this monochromatic, “all black everything”, dreary style that has been plagued upon us for the past six months. I want colour, chiffon and sundresses for crying out loud! So since I am so impatient for this Winter to cease, here are the stores you should go to, to get your summer shop on!
3779 Boul St-Laurent
No matter the season Boutique Yang is on point. They just released some of their summer collection yesterday on Facebook and I may have squealed with delight. Their style is just so gosh darn adorable. I’d say 50’s inspired with the boldness of modern colours. Also their jewelry collection will be the cherry on top of your casual summer look.
2. Fake Boutique
72 Rue Rachel E.
I’m going to admit that Fake is a little outside my comfort zone when it comes to my personal style. That being said, whenever I walk past their store I always feel a crazy urge to go in and spend my entire life savings. Something about their uber casual style get’s to me. Which is the reason I think they’re the perfect brand to add to your summer collection. With well made, fashion forward AND comfortable clothes, I really don’t see where you can go wrong.
3. Boutique 1861
3670 Boulevard Saint-Laurent,
I’ve previously expressed my love for Boutique 1861, but HELL I’M DOIN’ IT AGAIN. If you’re anything like me and have a crap ton of summer weddings to go to, then I suggest hitting up 1861. For serious, they have the prettiest gowns and dresses in the whole city. Hell, I’d suggest going there if you’re still looking for a prom/graduation dress. No doubt, 1861 will make you the bell of the ball.
4. Citizen Vintage
5330 Boulevard St-Laurent,
My beloved Citizen Vintage is going to be the first place I hit up when I start my summer shopping! And I’ll tell you why you should too. Everything in the store feels special, and it’s not hard to find a piece (or 20) you’ll fall absolutely in love with. Their clothes are restored vintage and hand picked by the owners. I’ve been drooling over their etsy shop waiting for my next paycheck so I can pick that perfect piece to begin my summer collection.

Okay, Kooka has amazing clothes all year round, but I just had to mention them for our summer style article. Their clothes are designed to inspire, which is exactly what you want in the summer. Their pieces are feminine, colourful and most importantly versatile. It’s not very often you find a store that makes you feel like you could rock all their merchandise, but some how they do it. I was absolutely obsessed with their summer collection last year and I am anxiously awaiting to see what they have in store for 2015!
