In today’s world of dating, it is so uncommon for people to meet the old fashion way. With all these apps it is easy to get distracted from what is important — love, of course!\nLove is tricky to find in any circumstance but the fact that you can meet a person at the click of the button has actually made the game harder.\nPeople no longer talk to each other if there is not a screen between them, and if you are like me, you know that it is just not the same as meeting someone in person.\nOur city is filled with amazing venues that are almost designed to facilitate romantic encounters, you just haven’t been paying close enough attention.\nNew City Gas — Happy Hour\nView this post on Instagram ~ MFleurs-Tini ~ our signature cocktail was definitely a hit ! ABSOLUTE vodka , a splash of cranberry juicy , a drop of rose water , a spoon of liquid sugar and a gorgeous MFleurs rose pedal ✔️ #signature#cocktail#drink#mfleurstini#launchparty#mfleursmtl#5@8#ncg#mtl#luxury#roses A post shared by MFLEURS ® OFFICIAL (@mfleursmtl) on Jul 1, 2016 at 1:20pm PDT\nNew City Gas is known for its big crowds and even bigger DJ’s.\nHowever, during our short yet lively summer, NCG opens its doors on Thursdays for an outdoor happy hour.\nThis is an amazing place to meet someone because there is such a wide range of people who are there, and since the space is so big, there is an even greater chance of meeting the one, plus there is food!\nI know for a fact that this is a great place to meet someone, because I actually met my husband there!\nLets Get Cheeky — Speed Dating\nPhoto by Donovan Grabowski on Unsplash\nOkay, so when I was single I tried speed dating and I actually had the best time.\nThe concept may seem intimidating and a little weird but the best way to explain it is that it is Tinder in person.\nYou have a few minutes with each candidate and you get to decide who you want to share your information with and who you want to leave behind.\nSee details here!\nThe Airport\nView this post on Instagram On my way to Sweden 🙌✈🌍 Having the honnor to be a guest speaker over sea for Herbalife is just AMAZING !!!!!!😍💚 Can't wait to be there and To show the world what we do in Montreal 🙏 #ProudFrenchCanadian #GlobeTrotter #BestLife #Herbalife A post shared by Ariane P. Goyette 🇨🇦👊 (@arianegoyette) on Jul 11, 2019 at 6:14pm PDT\nTrudeau airport is not only the best airport in Canada, but also a great spot for a chance encounter with a potential mate.\nAirports are amazing because there are people from all walks of life.\nThe advantage here is that you get to know intimate details about the person just from first glance. You begin from the premise that, at the very least, they are open to travel.\nNext you get to judge how they travel and compare their proclivities to your own habits. Do they dress comfortably or professionally for airplane travel? Are they respectful of their fellow passengers or are they more self-absorbed?\nPlus you get to see someone at their very worst — after an 8-hour red-eye flight. It can only get better from there.\nMany of us love going to the airport looking a mess but if you are single, I suggest you put on your “cute” sweat suit next time you travel.\nPiknic Électronik\nView this post on Instagram Les saveurs du dimanche avec @redbullcanada 🤸🏽♀️ - The taste of Sunday @redbullcanada🤸🏽♀️ 📷 @waktr #RedbullCanada A post shared by Piknic Électronik Montréal (@piknicmtl) on Jun 30, 2019 at 2:06pm PDT\nSummer is without a doubt the best time to meet someone in our city.\nAs Montreal locals, we all know the struggle of being cooped up in our houses all through the dead of winter.\nSo, by the time summer comes, none of us want to be confined to our homes.\nWhat I love about Piknic Électronik is that everyone is there to have a good time. There is so much to do, from dancing to a live set, to grabbing a sangria at the bar, to pigging out at a food truck, picnic is great.\nIt is also a great place to meet someone given the amount of people who attend from all around the city on a weekly basis, it is almost impossible not to connect with strangers when you go.\nIf you don't meet someone, at least you will get a cute picture for Instagram out of the day!\nTam Tam's\nView this post on Instagram Absolutely perfect sunny Sunday in Montreal. Where are you enjoying the day? Picture by Gabriel Vaz. A post shared by MTLBlog (@mtlblog) on Jun 1, 2014 at 10:24am PDT\nEvery sunday throughout the summer on Mount Royal, a slew of Montreal locals gather to enjoy a day of fun, sun, music, and perhaps just a wee bit of cannabis.\nI have heard of a lot couples meeting at Tam Tam's because it is just such an easygoing place.\nYou can even bring your dog, pack yourself a snack and pretty much do whatever it is your heart desires, including meeting your next true love!\nIKEA\nView this post on Instagram The 2019 Catalogue is here! Pick one up…your coffee table will thank you. Look in your mailbox for the catalogue or pick one up in store. A post shared by IKEA Canada (@ikeacanada) on Aug 15, 2018 at 8:15am PDT\nThe great thing about IKEA is that everyone who is there is looking for something, and one day that something could be you.\nThis is an ideal place to find your match as well as their style.\nYou could have your first date the first day you meet as you help pick out each other's furniture, I mean….\nAnd if you're really ambitious, why not test out living together in one of those model apartments?\nLa Ronde\nView this post on Instagram Concours IG 📸 Partagez votre photo des feux 🎇 avec nous en utilisant le #iflq2019. It is one of those places where you can act like a child even when you are way into your twenties.\nLa Ronde is all about fun and when you are having fun, you look your best.\nYou can even stay at wait for the fireworks if you end up meeting your match, how romantic would that be?\nThe Orange Line\nBy Mapdark - Own work\n \n CC BY-SA 4.0\nAs many of us Montreal locals know, the orange line of the metro is a bit of a hot spot.\nThink about it, meeting someone on the metro is straight out of a chick flick. You see the other person, they are looking at you, your eyes lock and it is magical…or, the person is super not interested and slightly bothered by you so they change cabins, something that is very easy to do on our Azur trains.\nRegardless of the situation, romance has a funny way of coming for you when you are least expecting it, like on your way to work in the morning.\nJust be sure to avoid being creepy. Never touch anyone on the metro.\nMy advice, keep your eyes and heart open during your commute!\nDo you have any successful love stories after meeting someone the old-fashioned way in Montreal?
