New Year's is a time of celebration, and debauchery. Can you even remember a January first without a massive hangover? Yeah, neither can we. Montreal's floating spa in the Old Port, Bota Bota, knows that you will be partying on New Year's Eve, and that you'd like to start the year off on a healthy note, so they're hosting a "Yoga New Year's Party" on the first day of 2015.
Starting at 12:30pm (so you can sleep in), the event itself is titled "Journée Om," and will have a variety of activities and workshops to get your new year going. On the set list for the day is snow yoga, meditation in the sauna, pilates, and something called "yoga for Hangovers" which seems like the perfect activity for (what will be a very hungover) New Year's Day.
Everything is pretty much taken care of at the event, all you need to do is bring your yoga mat and wear some appropriate clothing. Be sure to bring a bathing suit and sandals too, to make use of the on-site Bota Bota water circuit, which will be open all day 'til 10pm and included in your entrance ticket. Night swimming also sounds like a great way to start 2015.
Get all the details on Journée Om at Bota Bota, going down on January 1st from 12:30pm to 5pm, by heading to the official event listing here. See the schedule of activities and workshops in the flyer below.
