Montreal's Olympic Stadium Could Be Transformed Into The World's Biggest Indoor Ice Rink
The most amazing winter wonderland the city has ever seen.
Montreal's Olympic stadium is the world's biggest over-budget building project in the entire world.
1990% over budget to be exact.
That's bad any way you look at it, but the fact that it has no purpose makes it all the more infuriating. It's a record we shouldn't be proud of, so instead how about we use it to set a new record world record?
The world's biggest indoor ice rink.
Canada's Rideau Canal already holds the title of the world largest outdoor skating rink, so we might as well have the largest indoor rink.
And don't think of it as just a really big frozen floor. It could be so much more than that. Of course there would be a hockey rink section, but you could also have an entire skate park made of ice with winding paths, long straight corridors for racing, ramps, table tops and even jumps.
We can get really creative and try building the world's first ice half pipe. I'm pretty sure that Canadians are the only people crazy enough to attempt this.
Ever heard of Redbull Crashed Ice?
We could have a similar course built in the bleachers. You could start all the way at the top in the nose bleed section, and race your way down to the ground level.
It could be the most amazing indoor winter wonderland ever built.
Do you have any suggestions on what to do with the Olympic Stadium?
