PARKing Day Montreal is back.

Regular, old, and boring parking spaces will become so much more during PARKing Day Montreal, put on by Le Conseil régional de l'environnement de Montréal. A worldwide event, expect to see all sorts of creative recreations of parking spots in Montreal come September 19th, the day of the event.
A simple concept filled with possibilities, Park(ing) Day is all about creating more urban open space. Citizens of all sorts (artists, city officials, organizations) are tasked with transforming a metered parking spot into a public space accessible and beneficial to the entire community.
What began in San Fransico in 2005 has reached it's third year in Montreal. Last year over 250 parking spaces repurposed last year, making it the largest Park(ing) day in the world. Murals, terrasses, and even clotheslines to dry your wardrobe took over Montreal's parking spots all around the city, so expect a ton of creative creations this year.
