Eats on Montreal's streets aren't entirely gone for the winter season. Place des Festival will become a culinary hot spot for folks looking for good food on the go in January, with different restaurants setting up shop every weekend of the month.
To make sure the first month of the year is filled with food and fun, Quartier des Spectacles is allowing various Montreal restaurants to post up on Saint Catherine street on Fridays and Saturdays, from 5pm to 10pm. Participating restaurants will be set up on the south side of St. Cats in Place des Festival, with the name of the truck/resto released on social media by the Quartier des Spectacles team.
Work up an appetite by also checking out the free guided tours of Place des Festival beforehand, which will focus on the current art installations in the downtown area as part of Luminothérapie. Tours will be held on Thursdays and Saturdays at 5:30pm from January 15th to 31st, at the very affordable price of free-ninety-nine.
Get all the details on food trucks and free tours by heading to the Quartier des Spectacle's Facebook page here.
