Hang in there, fellow Montrealers, winter is almost over. Do you know what that means? It's time to get excited for summer! Because everyone knows that spring is almost non-existent in our city.\nHaving said that, one of the most breathtaking and unique experiences to look forward to this summer would be to visit Bleu Lavande, a magical lavender field located in the Eastern Townships (about 1.5 hour drive from Montreal downtown).\nBleu Lavande was started by a Quebec native in 2004, who had a dream of growing lavender and totally succeeded at it. Today, it's more than just a beautiful scenery. It's a business with a lot to offer: organic lavender products boutique, guided tours, massotherapy, yoga and meditation classes, food tastings, picnics, music festivals and so many more fun things.\nA photo posted by Жена Декабриста (@yuliyuliyuliyuliya) on Jul 18, 2015 at 11:14am PDT\nThe flowers usually bloom in late July and this is when the landscape is at its most spectacular state. However, Bleu Lavande activities start as early as June (guided tours and massotherapy) and as summer progresses, more fun things are added to the schedule.\nBoutique opens and free tours begin on May 14th and finish as late as October 9th, 2016. Admission prices are quite reasonable and range between $5 and $25. I honestly can't wait to visit this gorgeous outdoor venue. Did I mention lavender wine? Yes, it's a thing and you gotta try it.
