With holidays right around the corner, you must be thinking about outfit ideas and looking your best for Christmas dinners, family reunions and parties with friends. I know I have my New Year's Eve party on my mind.\nWe have about two weeks to get in shape and look amazing, totally doable. It's nice to be able to look back at our photos from the party and think how great we looked. Also, it's always good to start the year fit, healthy and happy. So I put together a list of tips that will help me and you get in shape really fast. Let's do this!\n1. HIIT training\nThis is my favourite type of exercise. HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. It's quick, intense and the results are visible really fast. Normally, exercising three times a week is enough. However, since we only have about 2 weeks to look incredible, we might need to train more than that. Check out Montreal's Report Fitness to start your training today.\n2. Drink water\nI'm sure you've heard this a lot, but I'll repeat it again. Girls should be drinking 6-8 glasses a day and guys should be drinking up to 10. There are countless benefits that come along with drinking water, check them out here.\n3. Eliminate shitty food and alcohol\nTry to not eat junk food. Zero. No cakes, burgers, fries, mac'n'cheese, poutine... and no vodka-soda.\nThey say that it takes our body 3 weeks to get used to something new a.k.a. form a new habit. So, in other words, if you can live healthy for three weeks, it becomes a necessity afterwards. Your craving for junk food stops, supposedly.\n4. Sleep\nRest is a very important addition to any healthy lifestyle. Ideally, you're supposed to have seven to nine hours of sleep every night.\nPhoto cred - Garden-of-vegan\n5. Meal Prep\nA healthy day consists of three full meals and two snacks in between. Keep the portions small and prepare your meals in advance if you want to actually succeed at this. Also, try to consume your carbs and natural sugars before noon.\n6. Restrict Eating Time Period\nThere is scientific evidence that restricting your eating time period to 8 hours can help transform your health. So, if you have your breakfast at 10 a.m., you should have dinner around 6 p.m. and not eat before or after this time period. It's not easy, but it actually works.\n7. Walk every day\nWalk for at least 30 minutes every day. Instead of driving to the grocery store or taking your car to work - walk!
