If you're a student looking for a well-paying summer job, look no further. The STM is hiring students to work in the maintenance crew at more than $29 per hour. This hiring spree comes as the company ramps up cleaning efforts in response to deconfinement.\nThe STM is looking for students who can be available full-time for all three shifts, day, evening or night, for the duration of their contract.\nThere are three types of maintenance jobs you might be doing if you apply: metro car cleaners, metro station attendants and cleaners, and bus and transport centre attendants.\nAll applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student for the winter 2020 semester in an institution approved by the Ministry of Education.\nYou must be at least 16 years old, have completed secondary 4, and have at least one proof of work experience.\nSeveral positions require a Class 5 driver's license but having one is not required to apply.\nThe STM wants all candidates to respect its mandates of "autonomy, collaboration, respect for directives and instructions, thoroughness, customer sense and sense of responsibility."\nAt $29.19 per hour, this is one of the better-paying summer jobs out there.\nThe STM says contracts would last from mid-June to late-August.\nMore information on how to apply is available on the transit company's website.
