Any vegan can tell you that going out for dinner with your friends can be a bit of a nightmare. The options are just so scarce if you don't know where to go.

We always want to be as accommodating as possible but after a certain point, garden salads just don't hit the spot. 

Luckily Montreal's Vegetarian Association recently released a flyer detailing all the best place to go if you have either a vegetarian or vegan diet. So, without further ado, here are the 30 best places to go in Montreal is you have a vegan diet:

This is personally one of my favorite places to eat! They have great drinks, a 100% vegan menu and a "normal" menu. So, you won't have to argue with your friends over whether to go to a vegan restaurant or not. L'Gros Luxe has something for everyone! And, did I mention the decor is AWESOME. Thai food is probably one of my favorites. So, thank goodness for ChuChai that turns traditional Thai meals vegan with fake meats and seafood!

Copper Branch is honestly god sent. It's the closest thing vegans have ever gotten to a fast food chain. Before this branch, if you forgot to make a lunch, you had to scramble around to find a salad without dressing. But now, their DELICIOUS menu is right at our fingertips all over the city. This is one of my favorite places to eat! You can find it all over the city and they never disappoint. From their falafel to their fresh squeezed juices, La Panthère Verte is hella good.

14. Lola Rosa

Whenever someone asks me for a suggestion for a good place to eat with vegans and non-vegans, I pretty much always answer Lola Rosa. Not only do they have great food, but their decor is also on point. Their tables even have little compartments where you can leave cute little notes. But shhh, it's a secret.

People have been calling this place "the best vegan restaurant in Montreal", and though I'm not sure it deserves that title, I definitely think it's worth a visit, even if it's just for the awesome swinging chairs and lights.

12. Pho Da Son

Asian-inspired food is always hard to find for vegan, especially Pho. It's those damn broths man. Well, thankfully Pho Da Son is here to rescue us.

Montreal's very own vegan food truck is sure to satisfy all your cravings for healthy food (yes, those exist too). 3. Yuan Végétarian

Whether you want to order out or sit-in, this all-you-can-eat restaurant with Thai, Chinese, and Japanese is the place for you. They are really proud of their warm atmosphere and great service. Yuan translates to "Affinity", so clearly people are liking their stuff. Check out their website.
