70-Year-Old Montreal Woman Allegedly Stabbed Her Young Nephew In Her Apartment
An intense family dispute.
Over the holidays, a family dispute turned violent in Pointe-Claire, with one family member allegedly trying to take another’s life and now facing attempted murder charges.
Several days before Christmas on December 21, reports The Gazette, a 70-year-old woman and her 24-year-old nephew were spending time in an apartment close to Aurora and Fairwood Avenues.
According to a police spokesperson, the nephew was at his aunt’s apartment to help her out with something.
At some point, for unknown reasons, a dispute arose between the two and the nephew was stabbed in the back.
“When the police arrived, they found the man…had been attacked with an edged weapon in his upper body,” said Audrey-Anne Picard of the SPVM.
The elderly woman is currently facing an attempted murder charge.
Fortunately, the nephew, who was brought to the hospital around 11:30am, is relatively fine, getting stitches for his stab wound shortly after the incident.
The 24-year-old was admitted out of the hospital on the same day, with the injury said to be quite minor.
