Let's get our people back home safe!
Hurricane Irma is about to hit the Caribbean, that's why Air Transat has launched a rescue operation to evacuate all their passengers from the Dominican Republic as well as in Hispaniola
10 planes were sent out this morning and they are expected to return with the passengers by this afternoon.
It's just one of the many ways Hurricane Irma is affecting Canada
2000 passengers are expected to be rescued in total.
In addition to this rescue mission, Air Transat and Air Canada have both issued a goodwill policy, which allows passengers who are flying to certain Caribbean airports to change their flights free of charge.
