Come see some retro metros

This summer you'll be able to hang out and party in old metro carts! From May until September, there is going to be an exhibit at the Lachine Canal.

The four retro metros are of course the main attraction, but the space is going to be decked out with an art gallery, a design shop, a food counter, a stage, and even a relaxation area.
The outdoor exhibits will feature original carts from the 1960s, specifically decommissioned MR63 metro train cars.
The summer exhibit is going to be funded by private and public funds and will cost around $600,000.
There are actually still 83 MR63 carts according to the STM spokesperson Amélie Régis. They are, however, scheduled to be replaced by AZUR carts by June.
After this summer, they will be gone! But don't worry! In March 2020 there is going to be a permanent exhibit opening in Griffintown. This one is going to cost $7 million.
