Yesterday Quebecers awoke to a record-breaking winter storm. Snow made roads and sidewalks impossible to navigate, cars had gone missing and had to be dug out of the snow and ice for hours, and almost everyone stayed home from work or school. Whether you enjoyed your snow day or not, we can all agree that the conditions definitely made history.

TL;DR The Weather Network has confirmed that another winter storm is on the way this week, with 20cm of snowfall expected by Friday afternoon across Quebec. Conditions may be dangerous due to low visibility and ice. More details below.

Well, the struggle of dealing with this amount of snow won't be coming to an end anytime soon. In fact, it's time to prepare for even more snowfall before the weekend.

Yes, you read that right, it's confirmed that Quebec will be hit with another winter storm before the weekend, with 20cm of snow expected to join the winter nightmare we're already experiencing, according to The Weather Network.

This is not a drill, people! 20 more centimetres of snow is coming our way!

The second, less-intense system will arrive before the weekend along with heavy precipitation. By Friday afternoon, most of Quebec will once again be in the midst of a winter storm. Officials are warning of road conditions on Friday evening due to low visibility as well as melting snow that could lead to sudden floods or dangerous black ice. Stay tuned for any more updates later this week.

The entire situation can be compared to what we've been dealing with over the last month, but on a much larger scale: heavy snowfall followed by warming temperatures, rain and melting of all the snow, and, finally, another drop in temperature leading to icy conditions.

Needless to say, you're going to want to prepare. There's no doubt that once again the entire province will be immobilized due to the follow-up winter storm. Considering we still haven't gotten over yesterday's record-breaking storm, you can expect some pretty miserable conditions to last a while.

Stay tuned for updates and more information on Quebec's upcoming winter storm.
