Apocalyptic Super Volcanic Eruptions Are In Store For Our Planet
A deadly situation.
Scientists from the University of Bristol have found that there could be a super eruption in store for the earth.
A study of a database of geological records dating back 100,000 years found that the average time between two such cataclysmic events is only slightly more than the age of human civilisation--12,000 years.
It was previously believed that such eruptions were between 45,000 and 714,000 years apart.
Now scientists have had to revise that range to 5,200-48,000 years.
This means that such an eruption could occur in our lifetime.
Should this happen, humanity could be reduced to a pre-civilization state.
A super eruption would produce enough volcanic ash to cover an entire continent for decades. There would also be drastic changes in weather patterns.
