Beef Sold At A Provigo In Gatineau Is Being Recalled Due To Possible E.coli Contamination
The CFIA is asking customers to return or throw away the beef products.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning customers of a grocery store in Gatineau, Quebec due to a possible E. coli contamination.
The grocery store is at 1, boulevard du Plateau, Gatineau, Quebec.
Consumers should not consume the recalled products.

The recalled products are:
medium ground beef club pack; variable sizes; UPC starting with 0 213026; Best Before dates of 16.SE2020, 17.SE2020 or 18.SE2020;
lean ground beef fresh club pack; variable sizes; UPC starting with 0 217334; Best Before dates of 16.SE2020, 17.SE2020 or 18.SE2020.
Both are Provigo brand.
The CFIA says the products should be thrown out or returned to the store.
"Food contaminated with E. coli [...] may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick," the agency says.
"Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea."
There have been no reports of illness associated with the products covered by the current recall, according to the CFIA.
