Sometimes you need to tear down before you can build back up. To improve the shopping experience and retail value of storefront locations, that's what the operators of Dix30 plans to do, effectively trimming the own hedges by tearing down certain areas of the Brossard shopping complex.\nDetails of the Dix30 demolition were unveiled by La Presse, as the news organization obtained documents stating that come fall 2016, several different stores and restaurants will be demolished to make way for new improvements.\nWhile nothing is set in stone, the stores to be demolished are those on the block south of l'avenue des Lumières, including:\nAldo\tBrowns\tDynamite\tRW & CO.\tThyme Maternité\tTerra Nostra\nThree restaurants are also on the demolition-list, specifically Les 3 Brasseurs, Brasserie Sportive, and Casey's, along with the now-defunct Cumulus.\nThe removal of the above storefronts and restaurants is being performed primarily for two reasons. One is to reduce the number of retail locations, with the aim to improve the sales of the existing stores.\nThe second is to improve the shopping experience for customers. Zones to be deconstructed will be refurbished with installations that will benefit shoppers, like new parking lots.\nAlso, a selection of the aforementioned retail locations will find other spots within the Dix30 complex, others won't. At the moment, the renovation-plan is still fluid, and some stores aren't quite sure if they will still have a place at Dix30 later this year.\nAccording to La Presse, the renovation plans for Dix30 will be finalized in two months, with the construction lasting an entire year.
