Bell Media and CTV have just released the list of the most-watched "commercial programs" in Canada for the 2018/2019 season. The results are unfortunately unsurprising. In fact, while many of these programs are adored by audiences, they are panned by critics.

Below, we've compiled the top 10 most-watched shows for the 18 to 49 demographic along with audience and critical scores from Rotten Tomatoes. Note that, for many of these programs, there is a great disparity between critical and viewer ratings.

10. The Rookie

Audience Score: 92%

Top Critics' Score: 50%

Despite audience love, the Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus labels The Rookie "unmemorable."

9. New Amsterdam

Audience Score: 86%

Top Critics' Score: 25%

According to Rotten Tomatoes, this series follows a "new medical director" who "breaks the rules to heal the system at America's oldest public hospital." Audiences eat it up. Critics have seen this storyline before.

8. Grey's Anatomy

Audience Score: 80%

Top Critics' Score: 79%

The beloved melodrama from Shonda Rhimes has a nearly equal score from audiences and critics.

7. Station 19

Audience Score: 38%

Top Critics' Score: N/A

Station 19 has the lowest audience score on this list. Critics seem to have ignored it entirely.

6. Young Sheldon

Audience Score: 72%

Top Critics' Score: 72%

The spin-off of The Big Bang Theory is both less popular and, somehow, slightly less liked by critics.

Top Critics' Score: 90%

This Is Us is the most critically acclaimed series on this list.

Audience Score: 38%

Top Critics' Score: 88%

Interestingly, The Conners, a spin-off of the ill-fated revivial of Roseanne, is detested by viewers and adored by critics.

Audience Score: 81%

Top Critics' Score: 71%

The realtiy competition series makes for great TV if not high art.

2. The Good Doctor

Audience Score: 87%

Season 1 Critical Score: 60%

"A talented young surgeon with savant syndrome ruffles feathers while saving lives at a prestigious hospital's pediatric surgical unit," the Rotten Tomatoes summary reads.

Apparently critics stopped paying attention after the first season.

1. The Big Bang Theory

Audience Score: 81%

Top Critics' Score: 73%

The Big Bang Theory is both extremely popular and widely loathed. The seemingly endless sitcom reached its series finale this year.
