This Is Why You Shoudn't Get The Flu Vaccine
Even the researchers can't agree with each other.
The weather is getting colder and naturally people are starting to think about the flu. And with that comes the endless debate about flu shots. So I looked around to see the different opinions people have on the matter and I found quite a bit of interesting information.
First I was confused as to why people disagree so much on the issue, you'd think science could give us a definite answer by now. But that's the problem, even the scientists can't agree with each other.
Some say that everyone should get it, that's you're being irresponsible and taking a big risk if you don't. Others say you don't need it as long as you're not part of the "at-risk" groups (Children, the elderly and people with compromised immune systems) And some go as far as saying the flu shot will make you sick.
The truth is, vaccines aren't an exact science because the flu virus is always evolving. That means that an effective vaccine may not be as effective the next year.
Earlier this year, the flu vaccine began making people more susceptible to the flu and researchers have no idea why. That just goes to show you that they don't always know what they're talking about.
Studies also show that getting the flu shot 2 years in a row may reduce its effectiveness. In the end the choice is up to you, so until scientists agree with other, you'll just have to go with your gut on this one.
