This was confirmed on the official Santé Québec Twitter account, where it was announced that as of March 15 at 11 a.m., the number of confirmed cases in the province had reached a total of 35. Santé Québec also informed the public that there are 1186 patients in the province under investigation for having the virus at the moment, and another 1890 people that have tested negative thus far.\nOn March 14, Premier François Legault declared COVID-19 in Quebec a public health emergency, advising all people over the age of 70 to stay home unless absolutely necessary. The Government of Quebec has also banned all visits to senior homes and hospitals until further notice.
