Former Quebec Family Minister Arrested For Prostitution Solicitation
Politician among six people rounded up during sting operation.
Tony Tomassi, who was Family Minister in the Jean Charest government between 2008 and 2010, was arrested on Friday during an undercover Montreal police operation targeting prostitution.
Tomassi was among six people rounded up during the sting.
All suspects face solicitation charges.
Tomassi's past reveals a deeply flawed personality. In 2010, he was kicked out of the Liberal Caucus for using a credit card that belonged to a private security firm. As a result, four years later, he pleaded guilty to the charge of defrauding the government.
