Students heading to class and people going to work in the early morn will be getting a welcome cup of warming coffee to stave off the return of the cold this morning, and only this morning. Outside of Berri-UQAM station, several individuals (with a strange sense of fashion) will be handing out free java to anyone willing to take a selfie, so skip your Tim Hortons run.
On-site sources have told us that a group generous young folk, one rocking a giant red ball suit, will be all around the Berri-UQAM metro giving out gratis cups of Joe.
The coffee fairies will be found by the exits of the metro (not on the inside) starting at 8:30am and 'til around 10am. They will be pretty easy to spot, just look for the giant red men and a sign that says “SELFIE = CAFÉ GRATUIT." Here's a visual
Anyone who isn't into taking morning selfies (especially before having your first cup of coffee) won't be excluded from the free caffeine, so don't stress.
We're not entirely certain why these people are giving out free coffee (you can ask if you're really curious) but its probably just some zany kids promoting an event for something. Either way, the fact remains the same: free coffee at Berri-UQAM station. With a deal like that, they could be raising funds to kill puppies for all I care.
