According to the Weather Network, Chris will set course for the Maritimes by late this week. But it seems like parts of the Maritimes provinces are already being heavily affected.

We can see that residents of New Brunswick and Southern Quebec posting videos like this one below of the massive storm hitting the province just yesterday, and causing a great deal of damage as a result.

The National Hurricane Center has named hurricane Chris a Category 2 storm - winds ranging from 96 to 110 mph- the maximum sustained winds have currently increased to near 105 mph, and are continuously rising.

Environment Canada has issued a warning and is continuously updating the public on this course of this precarious tropical storm.

The good news is Hurricane Chris should slowly weaken as it tracks near the Avalon Peninsula late Thursday evening.

Needless to say, the next days won't be pretty for our neighbors to the East. We hope that everyone stays safe and tuned into the forecast!
