As the city of Montreal ceases work to celebrate Canada Day weekend, so too do its major construction projects.

The long weekend brings a huge influx of tourists and other visitors to the city. Unfortunately, it also brings more road closures than ever. Such huge demand with limited accessibility means getting in and out of Montreal is going to be impossible.

To help you plan ahead, we've compiled a list of major closures for the weekend:

Sainte Catherine Street

The street will be closed on Sunday between Rue Fort and Rue Peel for the annual Canada Day Parade.

Highway 10

Easbound access to route A-15 South will be closed. The eastbound part of the higway will also be closed after exit 2.

Victoria Bridge

The bridge will be closed from 7am Saturday to 5am Monday.

Turcot Interchange

The ramps to A-15 South, A-15 North, A-720 East, and A-720 West will be completely closed.

Highway 15

Exits 57 North, 61, 64, and the exit for A-15 South will be completely closed. Traffic will be constricted between Ave. Atwater and and Blvd. Gaétan-Laberge.

Mercier Bridge

Until September, only one lane in each direction is open.
