A giant paper mache piggy bank was put up in downtown Montreal's Place de la Paix on Tuesday night by local activist group DefundTheSPVM "to support defunding the SPVM" and to look at ways "Tiohti:áke can reinvest this money into community supports," according to a Facebook event. The "Piggy Bank Project" is an interactive display that invites people to write their own ideas on how to reinvest police funding in Montreal.
