Or click here, for additional support resources.\nIf you need immediate assistance please call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest hospital.\nSupport is available.\nThe SPVM received a 911 call from the mother, who indicated that she had found the bodies and believed them to be dead.\nWhen police arrived on the scene, they found a 40-year-old man, along with a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, who were all announced dead on the scene.\nInitially, police and investigators were unsure of the relation between the man and the two children, though several sources have now confirmed that the man was, in fact, the children's father.\nWhile the circumstances of the tragic scene are still under investigation, by midnight last night the SPVM was willing to hypothesize that the incident had been a murder-suicide.\nSpeaking with SPVM officer, Manuel Couture, we can confirm that investigators remain on the scene this morning, as they await autopsy results of the deceased, for what is likely one of the most difficult cases to happen in Montreal in recent memory.\nThe tragedy took place at the family home on rue Curatteau in the borough of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, in the area of Bellerive, seen on the map below.\nGoogle Maps\nAutopsy and further investigation are still required in order to understand the specific circumstances of the children's deaths as well as the suicide of their father.\nREAD ALSO: Everything Montreal Is Probably Getting Now That The Liberals Are Staying In Power\nAccording to CTV News, a source was able to confirm that the mother and now-deceased father were, in fact, in the process of separating, which could explain the motive behind such a violent crime.\n🚔 Police investigating possible double murder suicide involving two young children and a man in Tetreaultville.
