Parts Of Quebec Could Get Smacked With Up To 30 cm Of Snow This Weekend
Plus freezing rain in some areas.
Environment Canada has put out a special weather statement for regions from the Eastern Townships to Gaspésie ahead of what could be a significant .
The agency makes clear that though "it is still too early to forecast with certainty how much snow will fall," the regions of Bas Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie "could see up to 30 centimetres."
The eastern part of the Gaspé peninsula might also see some freezing rain, Environment Canada says.
Of Snow Possible
The low-pressure system bringing the snow is forecast to "affect Central Quebec beginning Saturday evening, then reach Eastern Quebec on Sunday."
Western Quebec appears to be mostly spared, at least for now.
Environment Canada's forecast for Montreal this weekend shows "a mix of sun and cloud" with a high of 3 C on Saturday and -1 C on Sunday.
