An Enormous Taco & Cocktail Festival Is Coming To Montreal's Old Port This Summer
3 days of tacos & tequila! 🌮
Montreal is both a foodie and summer paradise. Combine the best of both elements and you get a little spark of magic. That's why the city has so many summer food festivals that celebrate Montreal's diverse culinary landscape while capitalizing on the joie de vivre that defines the warm season.
This year, one festival will take this unique alchemy to new heights. The 3 day Taco Fest will consist of "an electric atmosphere showcasing some of Montreal's best and most celebrated chefs with an authentic Mexican twist," according to its website.
"Join us for Tacos, Guacamole, Churros, Tequila, Hot Sauce and everything Mexican!"
Attendees will be able to taste over 75 different kinds of tacos and, to wash it all down, "handcrafted speciality cocktails and beverages including Margaritas, Palomas Mi Casas, the best in Tequila, Mezcal, and more!"
For those with a proclivity for all things spicy, the festival offers an opportunity to sample "over a dozen salsas and hot sauces from local and national brands." Complement the spicy with a sweet selection of desserts that include the signature Ice Cream Taco and, of course, churros!
The Taco Fest is more broadly a celebration of Mexican culture. Festival-goers will be able to participate in interactive games and dance lessons while jamming to some live folk music.
The Taco Fest will take over the Quai Jacques Cartier in the Montreal Old Port between August 31st and September 2nd, 2019. Tickets are on sale now on the festival website — a single day pass is only $7.95.
TasteMontreal and Cravings Food Co. expect that over 10,000 people will make a stop at the festival before the weekend is over! This will one of the highlights of the summer season!
