was recently a guest on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live show hosted by Andy Cohen. For those of us in Canada, they've blessed us with six YouTube videos that share what the whole magical evening was like. In the interview, Céline discusses everything from her late husband René Angélil to her current gay BFF Pepe Muñoz. She also opens up about the people she's most proud to know have come to see her shows (Prince) and her experience singing with some of her idols (Aretha Franklin and Barbara Streisand).
So, yes the interview is full of piping hot tea from queen Céline herself, and it is all served in that honest and hilarious way for which we all know and love Céline.
Plus, there was also a game of Versace or Hibachi, where Céline had to choose whether she would keep outfits and gowns of her past, or burn them.
And finally, iconic drag queen Milk was given his Céline Dion redemption by being crowned the Wig Winner of the That’s The Wig It Is Drag Pageant.
Take a look at some of the best moments below, and get ready to fall in love with Céline even more.
A great part of this interview was the phone-in questions that really seemed well-chosen and thoughtful.
In the clip below, around the 6:50 mark, you can hear a caller from Toronto ask Céline what she thinks would be René's favourite song off the new album.
She takes a healthy pause to consider her answer, and you can feel her get wistful as she gives her response.
Another question about dating and re-marriage also had Céline speaking about her relationship with René.
"If I do, that would be great," she says of meeting someone new, "If I don't, that would be great because I'm still in love. I mean, once you're in love so much, y'know, I've been living all my life with René, he's still within me, I see him through the eyes of my children every day."
She also opens up about some of her most memorable songs. At around the 1:40 mark in the clip below, Céline explains that the official version of "My Heart Will Go On" was actually... a demo.
She also shares how David Foster got her to hit that iconic note in "All By Myself," by telling her they could find someone else to record it if she didn't think she could do it.
Her reaction is absolutely priceless and exactly why I've loved Céline Dion for so long.
She's just got a fantastic sense of humour, a great sense of herself and a wonderful perspective on life.
Plus, girl can sing.
Céline also takes some time to address rumours of a romance with her friend Pepe Muñoz, taking a shot at somespeculating about their relationship.
As Andy beautifully says, I think people speculate because they want to see her happy and in love again. Though her response makes it clear that she is pretty content with her life right now... as she should be.
The whole interview was essentially a meme waiting to happen, and of course, people have wasted no time at all creating GIFs of the icon being... well, iconic.
She is essentially a walking meme waiting to happen. Everything she says and does is just to Céline all the time, and I don't want her to ever change.
We even got to see her sing Rihanna's "Work" again. What more could one ever want?
