Everything Is Under $20 At This New Pizza & Pasta Parlour In Villeray
Everything but the wine and any additional toppings are under $20!!
The much-anticipated neighborhood pizzeria, Vesta, has finally opened its doors to the public.
It doesn't matter if this area doesn't need another pizza joint, this is the one we care about. Either way is there such a thing as too many?
If the guys behind it, Stefano Faita and Michele Forgione, even serve up dishes half as good as their other ventures like Impasto, Chez Tousignant and pizzeria Gema, then this will be the Pied Piper of pies.
Announced back in February, Vesta officially opened July 22. They have a full lunch menu but for this week they will only be serving dinner.
The menu focuses on simple Italian cuisine with a few choices for appetizers (like meatballs and oh-my-god garlic knots) but the focus is heavy on pizzas and pasta. Instead of relying on Italian imports, Vesta looks for local and homemade ingredients.
The best part is nothing on the menu is above $20 (not including wines, of course). But you can still add extras for a separate charge, like vegetables, meats, cheeses or whatever spices you want to dress up your food.
The pizza is a perfect marriage between Montreal and New York-style pizza and made with a thicker dough. If you can't make it to the Villeray area, what's really exciting is they listened to demands from Gema customers and will be delivering!
Vesta accommodates up to 47 people in the dining room, with extra space on a terrasse. The overall vibe is an easygoing take on a modern pizzeria.
This is another Montreal spot not to be missed!
