Newly re-elected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Montreal this morning, thanking commuters in the Montreal metro.\nCanada voted yesterday to elect a Liberal minority government, meaning Trudeau will remain PM.\nCheck out the videos below of his warm welcome!\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\nNewly elected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made Montreal one of his first stops after winning a minority government for the Liberals yesterday in Canada's 43rd federal election.\nThe PM won his seat in the Montreal district of Papineau and in true Montreal style, he stopped by the metro station Jarry this morning to shake hands and thank voters who helped to re-elect him yesterday.\nThe Liberals had a hard fight that was fought until the bitter end, unlike the landslide win they enjoyed in 2015.\nThis year, voters, especially those who may have been voting for the first time, had serious demands when it came to climate change and affordable housing. Trudeau was also competing with a Conservative campaign that spoke directly to the fears of voters in western Canada who see their livelihood threatened by the talk of moving away from fossil fuels.\nNonetheless, Trudeau has since promised Canadians that no matter who they voted for, he is ready to work for everyone.
