Montreal Fire Department Warns Montrealers To Avoid Saint-Leonard Area Due To Building Fire (Video)
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Montreal Fire Department is reporting of a building fire in Saint Leonard, just across from the Saint-Leonard/Montreal-Nord train station.
They are warning Montrealers that the area should be avoided until the threat has been assessed.

The Montreal Fire Department put out the first tweet at 2:30 P.M., warning Montrealers to avoid the area.
They then followed up just before 3 P.M., warning again that there was a possible power outage expected in the area due to the fire and that the area should be avoided while the situation was dealt with.

The tweet above reads:
Building fire - JEAN-MEUNIER / INDUSTRIEL - Second alarm - Power failure possible. Please avoid the area.
In the photo and video below it is clear that it is a large fire, judging by the smoke cloud rising up from the building.
In the video below, you can see smoke billowing from the building in Saint-Leonard, which caused Twitter and Instagram users to take notice.
As per the tweets from the Fire Department, they are currently dealing with the fire and hopefully will have the situation under control ASAP.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, though we will provide updates as more details come to light.
