Someone Apparently Left A Full Condom On A Metro Pole & We Don't Want To Know The Details
Another Montreal mystery not worth solving.
- In a photo submitted to MTL Blog you can see a pole apparently covered in a full condom.
- The photo was taken at Lionel-Groulx station in the direction of Honore-Beaugrand on the STM's Green line.
- We don't have many details... and we don't really want any, either.
These days, it honestly takes a lot to shock me on the. We've seen , , and even .
So, like I said, being shocked by something or someone on the metro really is... an impressive feat. Because here at MTL Blog, and I'm sure most Montrealers feel the same, it feels like we've really seen it all.
And then you get a picture of a condom, seemingly used, and slid onto a barrier pole, which will make you question everything you thought you knew about being shocked on the metro.
Yes, someone submitted a photo of a condom, which really does look used, inside Station Lionel-Groulx, the western connection for the STM's Green and Orange line.
The person who sent it in was headed east, to Honoré-Beaugrand when they spotted the alleged condom hanging off one of the vertical barrier bars that stop passengers from getting too close to the metro tunnel.
When he got closer, it became clear that the condom had been... used... in some form or fashion.
Of course, from this photo and without the work of our MTL Blog forensic team, we'll never know what exactly is in that condom.
Just, kidding, we obviously don't have a forensic team. If we had that kind of money, we'd hire a meteorologist.
But even when people from our team were on their way home yesterday and passing through Lionel-Groulx, it was clear that the STM had been made aware of the situation and had removed the condom, so any kind of closer inspection was impossible.
I consider this a blessing in disguise because... well, ew.
So, of course, there's no way of knowing the story behind this condom, and it could very well all be an elaborate prank.
Which doesn't make it any less disgusting.
And regardless of what is inside that condom... because it's pretty clear there is something in there... my heart goes out to the STM employee whose job it was to deal with this yesterday.
And we can confirm that it was dealt with, because the condom is no longer on its post in Lionel-Groulx, as of the evening of November 18, 2019.
Until next time on WTF on the STM, stay sanitary out there Montreal.
