Montreal Metro's Entire Green Line Has Now Been Shut Down For Over 40 Minutes
The STM stated that the disturbance is related to a medical emergency.
- At 6:28 p.m. tonight, February 16, 2020, the STM tweeted that the shut down.
- At 7:13 p.m., another tweet was posted saying that the shut down was now only from the stations Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand.
- At 7:24 p.m., the STM confirmed that the shutdown would be prolonged until 7:55 p.m.
It's going to be a rough Sunday evening for anyone trying to make their way home during this time. The STM recently shared a notice on its Green Line Twitter account that the entire line, from Angrignon to Honoré-Beaugrand will be shut down until 7:25 p.m. — or at least that is the expected time that it will resume. If you were planning on taking in the upcoming half hour or so, we would advise that you find another route.
At first, the shutdown took over all 27 stations that are part of the STM Green Line, with an expected resume time of 7:25 p.m.
In its second update, the STM reported that the shutdown was now only affecting the stations from Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand, with the same anticipated time for services to resume.
In the most recent update, we are told that the shutdown, still between Berri-UQAM and Honoré-Beaugrand, has been prolonged for another half an hour. Now, it is expected that the full Green Line will be back in order by 7:55 p.m.

At 7:13 p.m., the STM tweeted another update. The shutdown on the Green Line is now only occurring from Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand.
The expected time for services to resume remained the same.

The shutdown has been prolonged an additional half an hour.
This disturbance is said to be due to a medical emergency.
