Montreal police are on the lookout for multiple suspects who are wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in the LaSalle borough early Monday morning. The homicide happened at roughly 8:30 AM after the police received reports of gunshots in the area. 

The SPVM reports that the shooting happened on rue Bedard near rue Dollard in LaSalle. There was a perimeter established on Bedard from Dollard to rue Clement with a detour to get to the surrounding streets. 

Major Crimes and Forensic technician units were on-scene trying to determine the motive and gathering relevant information from witnesses and the crime scene.

Witnesses say that multiple suspects were seen fleeing the area after gunshots were heard. 

The victim was a 26-year-old male, known to police due to multiple criminal infractions. Paramedics arrived on-scene but unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries at roughly 8:40 AM. 

The shooting occurred in a 6 unit apartment building in LaSalle early Monday morning. Police arrived on scene and found the 26-year-old severely injured in his upper body. 

Witnesses claim that multiple suspects were seen in the area following the shooting. Police are currently on the hunt to find the suspects and establish a clear motive. 

The victim was known by the police for having committed multiple infractions. The SPVM recommends anyone who has information about the shooting to contact them as soon as possible. 

There is no further information about this incident.

Sadly, the victim died of his injuries on the scene. Paramedics tried to save him but his injuries were too great. 

The SPVM is also looking for the public's assistance to find a missing 13-year-old girl in the Anjou neighbourhood. 

She went missing at home yesterday evening. Police fear for her safety.
