Montreal's Concordia University Is Hosting A Massive Pop-Up Farmer's Market This Week
On May 29th, locally grown food vendors will take over the EV Atrium.
Every Wednesday, even during the school year, the Concordia Farmer's Market gathers some of the finest local producers from every corner of Quebec in the EV Atrium on the corner of Mackay and de Maisonneuve.
During the summer, they host large-scale pop-up events that showcase even more local vendors and farmers. This week, they are hosting their May Pop-Up Market on May 29th from 11 AM - 6 PM!
The Concordia Farmer's Market has been a hit with both students and teachers. The CFM is committed to providing the best locally grown produce to the Concordia University community as a whole.
Since 2014, Concordia University has supported the CFM and has given it space to flourish. The market hosts a wide range of vendors, from chocolatiers to honey makers, artisan bakers, and even sausage makers.
Wednesday's pop-up features vendor Abeilles de la Colline, a honey and beeswax producer from the Laurentians. This week's Concordia Farmer's Market will have a huge variety of products for sale, so it's guaranteed you'll find what you're looking for!
The Concordia Farmer's Market began when two anthropology students came back from a trip to Costa Rica and were inspired to establish a better relationship with local food producers in Montreal.
In 2014, the two students began what is now one of the largest urban pop-up farmer's markets in downtown Montreal. Concordia University as a whole promotes many alternative food initiatives such as Le Frigo Vert, the H Building Greenhouse, and The People's Potato.
This month's Concordia Farmer's Market will take place this Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 from 11 AM to 6 PM at the EV Atrium. With many local vendors set to showcase their products, this is a can't-miss event!
