The Montreal STM Orange line has been completely shut down between Lionel-Groulx and Berri-UQAM this morning.\nThe STM explained that the cause was an infiltration of water into the metro network.\nThey believe service won't be back until 9 a.m. Details below.\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\nMontreal's Orange STM metro line is currently down between Lionel-Groulx and Berri-UQAM and is expected to remain shut down until 9 a.m., according to the STM.\nEarly this morning around 6:30 a.m., the STM tweeted out that trains on the Orange line were not stopping at Square-Victoria OACI.\nShortly after that, they then indicated that the Orange line would be stopped until 7:10 a.m., as water had infiltrated the metro network, presumably at Square-Victoria-OACI station.\nUPDATE: Service is resuming on the orange line. Square Victoria station remains closed.\nThe STM has since updated passengers again, indicating that the shut down was now going to last until 9 a.m.; so, if you are someone that relies on the downtown portion of the Orange line to get to work...you might be late this morning.\nOf course, luckily the Green line exists just north of the Orange line and runs parallel, providing access to nearly the same areas.\nBut I'm getting sweaty just thinking about everyone who usually takes the Orange cramming into the Green line along with everyone who normally takes the Green line.
