Verdun was turned into a Christmas wonderland this weekend in order to film a miniseries named A Moody Christmas.\nThis miniseries stars Jay Baruchel, Denis Leary, and Elizabeth Perkins.\nFind out more about the new film and its effect on the borough of Verdun below!\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\nIf you were in Verdun this weekend and wondering why the hell it looks like a Christmas wonderland where Santa's elves barfed up their holiday cheer all over the place, wonder no more.\nA new Christmas miniseries is being filmed in the Montreal borough, featuring Montreal's very own Jay Baruchel, which is why the streets were decked with boughs of holly and such.\nAccording to the Journal de Montreal, the miniseries, entitled A Moody Christmas, will air on Fox in December, and also stars Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins, who play Baruchel's parents.\nThe series is based on an Australian series with the same name, which follows the Moody family, a dysfunctional group that is reunited for the holiday season, despite their difficulties getting along.\nIn addition to decking the streets with Christmas cheer, the film crew had to take on a couple other... aesthetic changes... some of which had Verdun citizens wondering...
