The STM is reporting that part of the orange metro line has been shut down due to "water infiltrations." Trains are currently not running between Montmorency and Crémazie stations on the eastern branch.\nUPDATE: As of 16:50, service is gradually resuming on the orange line.\nThe circumstances of the infiltrations are unclear, but they come as much of the city contends with damage due to a powerful storm system moving through southern Quebec.\nPhotos and videos posted online show trees toppled and downed power lines across the city.\nService on the orange line is expected to resume by 16:45 but will likely have a lingering effect on the afternoon commute. The affected branch of the line, which connects Laval to downtown Montreal, is one of the busiest stretches in the STM network.\nThe STM shared the news via a Tweet on the orange line account.\nShutdown ORANGE line between Crémazie and Montmorency.
