Due to a water quality issue, Jean-Doré Beach at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau is closed for most of the weekend. The beach is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, August 2.

In-store for a sweltering weekend once again, Montrealers who were planning on visiting the beach will have to make new plans. If your heart is set on Jean-Drapeau, you can visit the nearby Aquatic Complex where the water is perfect.

Jean-Doré Beach is closed today due to the non-compliance of the water quality.

Until September 7, beach-goers will only be allowed to use the beach during four three-hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Changing rooms and lockers are inaccessible.

All aquatic lessons, the Aquazilla obstacle course, and beach volleyball activities are cancelled.
