Tonight marks the grand finale of the first-ever season of Canada's Drag Race. And yes, Our homegirl, Rita Baga made it all the way until the end. No matter what happens tonight, we couldn't be prouder of our queen... But we're pretty certain she's going to win!\nThe Canadian version of the popular Drag Race franchise premiered on July 2 and since then, has become extremely popular with drag fans around the world.\nEditor's Choice: Legault Says Re-Confinement Would Happen By Region If There Were A Second Wave\nIt seems like just yesterday Rita Baga won the first week of the competition, making her the first-ever winner of Canada's Drag Race.\nSince then, it's been an action-packed nine weeks of fashion, dancing, and, of course, sass.\nAnd sass she did serve.\nRita may be known for a more stoic and composed demeanour, but the girl gets a word in when she needs to.\nNot to mention the absolute shock and surprise when she lets loose on stage and becomes a completely different person.\nEspecially when it comes down to a potential elimination.\nAlthough no queen ever wants to lip-sync for her life, getting the chance to prove to the judges and the competition that you're an absolute threat is always an opportunity to be taken.\nRita Baga was no exception.\nIn fact, I would dub her a lip-sync assassin.\nView this post on Instagram rita didn’t even hesitate😂 • • • • • • • • • • • #dragrace #dragqueen #drag #rpdr #rupaulsdragrace #gay #rupaul #lgbt #makeup #m #queen #dragqueens #dragbike #instagay #instadrag #dragracing #dragmakeup #lgbtq #pride #allstars #dragqueensofinstagram #queer #dragshow #racing #trixiemattel #rpdrseason #rupaulsdragraceseason #turbo #dragqueenmakeup #bhfyp A post shared by 🧚🏻♀️ (@cracktion_) on Aug 21, 2020 at 7:56am PDT\nBecause for Rita, it's all about performing and the passion she has for the craft.\nIt's that exact craft that won her three challenges — the most of any queen this season.\nNot to mention, she can go from campy to glamourous faster than a tongue pop. To the point where she had the judges gagged, honey.\nDespite being fierce, Rita has a soft side, too.\nShe seemed to be one of the drag mothers of the group, especially when it came to a fellow-Montreal queen, Kiara.\nKiara even shared this photo on her story to congratulate her fellow Montreal queen on making it to the finale.\nkikiwannakaikai | Instagram\nShe can act. She can sing. She can serve a look. She can be campy or glamourous.\nAnd she can be tough competition, yet soft and loving.\nView this post on Instagram Official photos from the last episode ♥️ Robe @joemistrbear Wig @peach_mtl et @alarie_martin Pic: @jackiebrownphotography @ilonaverley showed me how to cover these tattoos 💜 Thank you so much And I still love this human hair wig. You are entitled to your opinion 😂 I wanted a short Miranda wig and soft makeup as the dress was the center of attention 💣 ♥️ TOP FIVE BABY ♥️ #canadasdragrace A post shared by ʀɪᴛᴀ ʙᴀɢᴀ (@ritabagaz) on Aug 15, 2020 at 11:10am PDT\nIs there anything she can't do?\nRita told MTL Blog, "Being part of the first edition of Canada’s Drag Race has been a dream come true. It made me surpass myself as a drag queen."\n"Being one of the two French Canadian queen on the show, I felt I had to represent the French Canadian community and the city of Montreal and make them proud."\nShe's in the finale alongside her fellow-Queens and sisters, Priyanka and Scarlett Bobo.\nView this post on Instagram ⚜️De retour / back back back again ⚜️ Thank you everyone for all the messages and the support. I can’t answer it all as I missed too much, but i’ve seen it all. Merci, merci, merci 🙏🏼 1st look: CEO executive realness. Missed the cue on this one 😂 the « realness » guideline got me confused. As for the Lemon part, a little wink to my sista, carrying her on the runway. Also a little flash from week 1 - the cheese curds. Second look: Took a risk, but really wanted to have this look on Drag Race as a shout out to Montreal. This character (who i call Sheila) is a classic that I perform regularly in my hometown. Sheila on Drag race, it takes nerves 😂 Third look: ice queen Extravaganza. Really liked this one, and the details are more visibles on the picture 💕 Stay tuned, the Grande Finale is coming soon!
