The SQDC Is Finally Taking Steps To Reduce Insanely Long Wait Times
Could the stores actually make a comeback?
It's almost clockwork now: as soon as Thursday hits everyone runs to the SQDC locations across Quebec. After that we all have until Sunday to purchase any cannabis, then the stores close down again until the following week.
TL;DR The Quebec Cannabis Society has announced that a new pilot project in which three SQDC stores will now be open on Wednesdays from 10:00AM to 5:00PM in addition to the Thursday-Sunday schedule. To see the list of stores taking part in the pilot project read below.

The major dilemma is due to mass shortages of cannabis product in Quebec, leading the stores to close down three days a week in order to re-stock and prepare for Thursday to Sunday.
Luckily, the Quebec Cannabis Society is launching a brand new pilot project that they hope will cut down the wait times and massive lines people are dealing with.
The government-run cannabis store tweeted this morning that starting immediately, select SQDC locations will be open on Wednesdays from 10:00AM to 5:00PM in addition to their current Thurday to Sunday schedule.

The three branches that will be apart of this new pilot project are:
As for the nine other locations across the province, they won't be participating in the new schedule just yet. If the pilot project does prove to reduce wait times and line-ups, then we may see an entirely new SQDC schedule in the future.
